“Outstanding hotel !!!” Reviewed 25 April 2016 via mobile After having celebrated my daughters destination wedding in india, my husband & i decided to once again stay at Sahara Star !!! A trip to india would not be the same without visiting the Sahara!! Once again we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect, the service, prompt check in , and especially the warm welcome. As a repeated guest i always look forward to seeing the familiar faces & smiling welcome. My stay was faultless & once again a huge thank you to Rishi, the duty manager who ensured my stay was comfortable & hassel free!!! Looking forward to my next visit . Well done to all the staff at Sahara !!

“A grand hotel” Reviewed 20 April 2016 The hotel is having grand ambiance. The dome shape of the hotel with beautifully carved garden in the middle with fancy small fountains give the hotel a very different outlook. The food in the restaurant was very good with wide variety. Room size was a bit small but manageable. I could not find any negative with this hotel except that if you find a room on the opposite side of lift, you have to walk around a long distance. This may be troublesome for few elderly people.

“FIRST CLASS” Reviewed 15 April 2016 I am a regular client to Sahara Star Mumbai, breakfast and rooms are excellent, just one suggestion the balcony rooms they have need a little more upgrade like the one on the top floor facing airport. I will rate Ms Ankita Mohan Nair a 100/100 for all the support she shows every time and also the management is super friendly. I by mistake booked a non cancellation room and Ankita helped me cancel free of charge ! I am super happy with the staff , hotel and specially Ankita :)

“Interesting building and comfy rooms” Reviewed 8 April 2016 The hotel is very conveniently located opposite the domestic airport and around 20 minutes away from the international airport. The check in was hassle free, the hotel gave us a complementary early check in since we had an early morning flight - which was a very nice gesture, it is very rare for hotels in Mumbai to offer such gestures at no cost. Right from the moment you enter, you get a five star feeling... the building itself beautifully designed and the aesthetics are superb ! The rooms are super cosy and the balcony is a cherry on the cake. Free wi-fi is very fast and they have Star Service should you need anything... just a phone call away! They have a wide selection of restaurants to choose from although they are on the higher side but worth a try... Stayed April 2016, travelled as a couple

“Excellent stay mercury superior room with breakfast - one night” Reviewed 27 March 2016 via mobile It was a fantastic stay... Agoda.com got us a fair deal in Rs. 7400 ... One night with breakfast at mercury lagoon facing room... We had to ask for a bath tub and got it after 30 minutes. Overall stay was nice, helpful staff and good amenities. Pool and Jacuzzi were fantastic too. In house restaurants were way to expensive and lacked good packages for dinner. For lunch also they had only one deal. Its also high time that rooms get free HD channels (world is moving to 4k and 5 star hotels still show standard definition). Next morning breakfast was good. But was disappointed with lack of good indian masala chai in the Earth restaurant.

“Just for the views!!” Reviewed 15 March 2016 via mobile The view of the hotel from indoors...which al open into the open air atrium...amazing!! One of its kind n looks like a rain forest with little alcoves and bridges over river bodies. Amidst this the restaurants are set which given enough privacy though it's seems it out for the view of all. Rooms...are decent... Nothing amazing. The stay was so worth it just for its views!! another plus...5 minutes to airport ...u can actually walk!! Stayed February 2016, travelled on business

“A beautiful property wasted, bad service” Reviewed 6 March 2016 So I stayed in this property for 3 nights with my wife. It was a business cum leisure trip. Property is a 5 minute walk from the domestic terminal. Traffic can really make the walk uncomfortable if you have luggage. Hotel provides free pick-n-drop shuttle (BMW) from the airport, better use that. So when you enter the hotel you will be amazed. The fake lagoon, grand lobby, restaurants and just the uniqueness of the place. Problem starts after that. Check-in was more or less smooth, but if you don't give a credit card guarantee straight away someone will soon come knocking to lock your mini-bar. There is only one set of lifts to the room levels. MAKE SURE you take a room close to the elevators, else the walk to the room may as well tire you. Decor of the room is decent, the balcony facing the lagoon being the high point. It is a bit small as compared to most 5-star properties in India. Bed is really uncomfortable, with springs poking into you. Washroom is big, with a nice bath tub. You need to be comfortable with community dispensers for shower gel and shampoo. For the food, we ordered pasta and burger. Pasta was decent, burger was really bad. Breakfast is adequate, but an average of culinary experience. There is no bottle opener in the mini bar, in case you want to grab a quick drink you need to call for it. Key card seems to b a little off, I had to do all that walk to the lobby 4 times during my stay to get it reset. Be a little careful while opening and closing the door. The glass rod on the door fell on me while I shut it. Thankfully I was left with no scar, but a kid with you, story might be very different. I complaint to the the lobby manager about this, got an apology call later in the day. Mobile network is really bad in the hotel (atleast in my room). Wi-fi was very patchy and slow. Overall, I would say a great property not managed very well. But that's Sahara for you, isn't it? Stayed February 2016, travelled as a couple

“Engagement of my daughter on 19th feb at jade ballroom ” Reviewed 26 February 2016 via mobile I had called up the hotel for checking on the dates availability but was made to wait for very long by the person on the call with no answer ...but then at end of day got a whatsapp message from the GM Mr Rajesh mohan with an introduction... i was pleasantly surprised and called him up and he immediately set up an appointment with his team ... Later i learnt that Mr Rajesh mohan has a unique way of managing inquires he connects to all the callers on whatsapp forms a group and then connects all the required members of his team to the group so it becomes easy for the guest to cordinate and arrange meetings with different departments and all are in the loop ... it became very easy for me to communicate and follow up with sales , operations, legal and decorators etc and his team was always ready to help me even at short notice ... Our big day was made truly memorable by them i thank each and every member of the team Mr Kishore Joshi Mr Brijesh Mr Prerak Ms Ushma Mr Mayur Mr Philip ms chanda and not to forget Chef Sameer Dighe for the lovely food served ...and others .. These guys worked for our event like a family ,going out of their way some times to accomodate us and the result was truly a dream on the D Day ...everything was just PERFECT ...the service the food the decor ...it could not have been better .... Three cheers for Mr Rajesh mohan and his Super Team ....A BIG THANK YOU ......Cheeers!!! Stayed February 2016, travelled with family

“Best in every category...rooms, service, location!!!!” Reviewed 17 February 2016 It was a stroke of genius to reserve at Sahara Star. The service was phenomenal. Every single person was extremely thoughtful. We asked for a different room when we registered. We were given a choice and without any fuss, we changed. Whatever we requested was handled with divine efficiency and care. The room overlooking the huge gorgeous gardens was perfect. The outdoor space was beautiful and restful. I felt like we were treated like royalty. Just a wonderful place to stay if you have an early morning flight or any time. Thanks to the manager and the staff. Room Tip: The expansive view from the outer ring is great too, but the room had two steps down from the bathroom

“Outstanding service & friendly professional staff !!!” Reviewed 8 February 2016 I have been staying at Sahara star for many years now , I frankly would not stay anywhere else in Mumbai . From the moment you step into the impressive lobby, the professionalism & effeciancy of the staff is apparant. Rooms are spacious & clean. I especially love the fact that they have balconies facing the indoor lagoon. Gives a sense of being outdoors & not confined to just a hotel room. All the restaurants are amazing. I usually don't bother eating outside as the quality of food & service are of extremely high standard . The hotel has a lovely friendly vibe & make you feel as your a member of the Sahara star family . It's not pretentious or stuffy. Very relaxed . I cannot fault this hotel at all. A special mention to Rishi, the duty manager. He has always addresed my requests professionally & promptly making sure no inconvience is caused. Looking forward to my next visit at Sahra star !!!

“5th Stay and even better” Reviewed 1 February 2016 I have stayed here 4 times previous to this visit. Following the Completion of refurbishment, the hotel is probably one of the best in Mumbai. Excellent service, rooms, facilities and location. Conducted many meetings in the business centre which is good value for money as well as attended a wedding reception in the Jade Ballroom. Breakfast spread is very good and to the table service despite being a buffet. Overall very good value for money! Will be back Room Tip: From past experience: Would recommend an interconnecting room if travelling with young children- not...

“Very handy location, very clean rooms, excellent service, great food and restaurants, very courteous staff.” Reviewed 30 January 2016 Very close to the airport and and major transport and shopping. Highly courteous and obliging staff and management. Good rooms with clean and well maintained decor and bedding- very relaxing view from the attached balcony. Good food with a great variety of dining- Indian, Chinese and (new) Middle Eastern. Great "cafes" for coffees and snacks.Excellent positioning of the modern Gym facilities - "outside" looking onto the floral courtyard. Highly recommended for business people and families for a short stay ... for a week. Floral decorations on the terraces look attractive but could do with some cleaning to enhance the colour. The facade and the lobby are very attractive. Great overall experience, will definitely use them again. Highly recommend- the best in the area. Room Tip: Will definitely use them again. Highly recommend- the best in the area.

“Sahara Star, Mumbai - Simply the best” Reviewed 8 January 2016 I have traveled globally & generally most of the hotels do no surprise me. But recently on 23-24 Dec'15, I stayed in this awesome hotel during one of my business trip - and was immediately shocked by the grandeur of this hotel. Practically whatever you see - blue light paved approach, white column with blue lighting outside the hotel - to the dome shaped aqua park, exquisite lighting - to the room internals e.g automated curtain movement - everything exhibits meticulous detailing. Restaurants are a treat and the varieties mind boggling. Hotel staff right from the front desk (Mr Mehul Dave) to GM are simply fantastic and courteous. A must stay hotel - to experience the atmosphere if not any thing else. Room Tip: All rooms are arranged in a circle. Odd numbered room - 'City View'; Even numbered room...
